XRay Film

We stock a large inventory of film (green, blue, half-blue, and other specialty films).

  • Film on cash and ten day credit
  • Office delivery usually within 24 hours or less
  • High quality branded film

Green XRay Film

High contrast, high resolution, orthochromatic film for use with green emitting rare earth screens. -Green is a high contrast, orthochromatic film designed for general radiography using green emitting intensifying screens. The high contrast of -Green enhances image sharpness with high resolution for general radiography and special purposes.

  • SYSTEM SPEED: When used with regular speed green rare earth screens, your resultant speed would be approximately 400. When used with a fine speed rare earth screen system, the resultant speed would be approximately 100.
  • PACKAGING: Available in all common sizes including metric. The easy open, reclosable box contains 100 sheets and is available in case quantities of 5 boxes per case.
  • PROCESSING: Green's advanced emulsion technology is formulated to produce optimum results when processing in both automatic processors and manual developing systems. This film is designed to be processed in any brand of quality chemistry. For Optimum results developer temperature in a 90 sec. processor should be approx. 93F (34C) developer temperature. Manual developing times will depend upon individual processing conditions and desired results.
  • SAFELIGHT: A Kodak GBX-2 or equivalent with a maximum 15 watts is recommended. The safelight should not be any closer than 4 feet from the loading area.

Half Speed Blue XRay Film

Half Speed is ideally a high contrast, half speed film rendering exceptional clarity and can be used with all examinations. The emulsion of Half Speed is coated on a 7-mil, blue-tinted polyester base, and has a protective coat to provide maximum protection from scratches and abrasions. The soft , blue tint evenly filters the harsh fluorescent illuminator light, while still providing outstanding clarity.

  • SYSTEM SPEED: When Half Speed is used in conjunction with 200 speed rare earth screens, your resultant speed would be about 100. A 400 speed system would be attained when Half Speed is used along with high speed blue rare earth intensifying screens.
  • PACKAGING: Available in all common sizes including metric. The easy open, reclosable box contains 100 sheets and is available in case quantities of 5 boxes per case.
  • SAFELIGHT: A Kodak GBX-2* or equivalent with a maximum 15 watts is recommended. The safelight should not be any closer than 4 feet from the loading area.
  • PROCESSING: Half Speed `s advanced emulsion technology is formulated to produce optimum results when processing in both automatic processors and manual developing systems. This film is designed to be processed in any brand of quality chemistry. For optimum results developer temperature in a 90 sec. processor should be approx. 93°F (34°C) developer temperature. Manual developing times will depend upon individual processing conditions and desired results.

Blue XRay Film

High contrast, blue sensitive medical X-Ray film for use with blue emitting intensifying screens. Blue is ideally suited for use in general radiographic procedures with calcium tungstate intensifying screens. The low base plus fog and evenly dispersed silver halide crystals provides excellent high contrast and fine structured imaging. The polyester base which the emulsion is coated on provides dimensional stability to withstand automatic processing demands. The soft, blue tint evenly filters the harsh fluorescent illuminator light, while still providing outstanding clarity.

  • SYSTEM SPEED: When used with high plus calcium tungstate screens, your resultant speed would be approximately 200. When used with blue III rare earth screens, the resultant speed would be approximately 800. Blue is highly compatible in many other brands of screens which are too numerous to list; however, we would be glad to recommend the proper combination in accordance to your needs.
  • PROCESSING: Blue's advanced emulsion technology is formulated to produce optimum results when processing in both automatic processors and manual developing systems. This film is designed to be processed in any brand of quality chemistry. For optimum results developer temperature in a 90 sec. processor should be approx. 93°F (34°C). Manual developing times will depend upon individual processing conditions and desired results.

Duplicating Film

High fidelity, blue base duplicating film for use with all types of duplicators. Duplicating film is a high-fidelity film designed for use with U.V. and white light sources. The emulsion is formulated to produce high quality duplicates by using an antihalation opposing side coating and a wide range of density capabilities.

  • PROCESSING: Duplicating develops in all types of automatic processors and can be manually developed as well. The surface coating of the emulsion is formulated to withstand the harsh processor environment which it is transported in.
  • USAGE: Duplicates can be made of any type of medical X-Ray film. It is highly useful for duplication for referrals, patients own copy, cat scans, laser camera reproduction, consultations, teaching, and even for industrial film reproduction.
  • PACKAGING: Available in sizes: 14x17-11x14-10x12-8x10.

Infared Laser Film

Medium contrast, fine grain, high resolution laser film for image recording in infrared laser imagers. -Infrared Laser Film is a medium contrast blue based film designed for use in laser imagers utilizing infrared laser diodes and will record a full range of images from computed tomography, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed radiography and digitized film images. Along with demonstrating excellent transportability properties this film also exhibits a wide level of latitude and an impressive dynamic range. The sensitivity of this emulsion has been formulated to respond at 780 (nm).

  • PACKAGING: Available in 35x43 cm (14x17 in) sheet size, in 100 sheet boxes or case quantities of 5 boxes per case.
  • PROCESSING: FR IMAGES-Infrared Laser Film is designed to be processed with standard or rapid processing cycles. Recommended developer temperature in a standard cycle 90 second processor is 95°F (35°C).
  • SAFELIGHT: A Kodak 7B Safelight Filter/green with a frosted 7 1/2 watt bulb is recommended. The safelight location should be at least 4 ft. from the film.

Single Emulsion

Single emulsion, medium-speed, high-contrast, blue tinted base film for use with all video cameras and imaging modalities. This film is ideally suited for use with all cameras and modalities. The fine grain emulsion and the opposing side antihalation coating ensures very high definition and remarkable brightness. The sensitivity of this emulsion has been formulated to respond between 400 to 570 (nm), which is optimal for current phosphors used in monitors.

  • PROCESSING: CT-100 develops in all types of automatic processors and can be manually developed as well. The surface coating of the emulsion is formulated to withstand the harsh processor environment which it is transported in.
  • RECIPROCITY RESPONSE: The reciprocity of video camera film must be very stable to produce consistent results to varied monitor images. The above graph indicates the favorable reciprocity response at extremely demanding exposure times. Even at very short or rapid repainting of the monitor images, this film responds consistently.
  • SAFELIGHT: A Kodak GBX-2* or equivalent with a maximum 15 watts is recommended. The safelight should not be any closer than 4 feet from the loading area.
  • PACKAGING: Available in all common sizes including metric. The easy open, reclosable box contains 100 sheets and is available in case quantities of 5 boxes per case.
