Environmental Concerns

All hazardous chemical are removed are disposed of properly and to applicable standards. Collected fixer or photo waste is taken to our processing station where silver salts are reduced to elemental silver in a controlled electroplation system. Discharge is then passed through enormous ion exchange columns to remove remaining silver down to non-detectible levels and never above 1.2 PPM. pH is then tested and raised to above 5.5. Treated waste is then discharged with flushing water.
